5 Ways to Use Fennel Essential Oil

The Egyptians and the Romans set the standard for the use of this therapeutic herb. These ancient empires utilized fennel in medicine and for spiritual purposes, deeming it worthy of prompting endurance in battle and strengthening circulatory, digestive, and respiratory function.

Its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties made it a go-to for snake bites, while its natural hormonal-balancing properties enabled this oils use in female reproductive health.
The following are another five ways to use fennel. Dilute 1:1 with a carrier oil, unless directed otherwise.

Blood Clots

By stimulating blood flow, fennel diminishes the chances of blood clot. Dilute your essential oil accordingly and apply topically over the affected area. You might also place a drop of fennel in a glass of drinking water and take internally or diffuse throughout the home.

*Speak with your physician before proceeding with this application.

Digestive Aid

This oil is a fantastic supporter of digestive health. To combat digestive issues, like flatulence or constipation, place a drop of oil in a glass of drinking water and take internally or apply a topical application to the abdomen, massaging in a clockwise motion. Also, massage into the reflex points of the feet. For general digestive support, diffuse throughout the home.

Hormone Balance

Hormone balance supports all kinds of physical and emotional issues, from hot flashes to PMS. Inhale fennel directly from the bottle or dilute and apply topically to your feet reflex points. Maintain balance by diffusing daily.

Menstrual Cramps

Fennel helps ease pain. You can alleviate menstrual cramps through a diluted topical application. Simply massage into the affected area, the lower back and abdomen, as well as into the soles of the feet.
Prostate Support

This oil also supports mens issues, like prostate health. Dilute and apply regularly, massaging over the affected area and into the reflex points of the feet.
