Are you easily distracted?
Try using basil essential oil to help sharpen focus. Often used in cooking, basil offers a number of health benefits whether taken internally or applied aromatically or topically. The oil possesses natural cooling properties when it comes to the skin helping relieve minor skin irritations.
In fact, when applied to the temples and/or the back of the neck, basil can ease tension or stress. The oil supports memory function and enhances alertness, making it perfect for brainwork. Not only does it strengthen the mind and skin, but it also alleviates sore muscles and joints and fortifies healthy and clear breathing.
The oil’s strength, along with its versatility, makes it one powerful agent to have on hand when cramming for a test or burning the midnight oil (pun intended).
To stimulate memory function and sharpen concentration, add 3-4 drops basil to your diffuser.
You can also use basil to scare those bugs away by diffusing the oil throughout the affected area or creating your own bug spray.
Lastly, you can apply basil topically to support skin health or relieve sore muscles and joints. Simply rub 1-2 drops softly over the affected area.
General Methods of Application:
Those with sensitive skin should dilute the oil with a carrier oil. Avoid touching the eyes, ears, and other sensitive areas with the oil. People who are nursing, pregnant, or are receiving medical attention should consult their physician before use. Additionally, make sure to store the oil away from children.
