The oil also relieves stress, nerves, and tension and stimulates self-confidence and optimism, which is probably why it’s considered an effective aphrodisiac. Whether going solo or blending with other essential oils, jasmine is a sweet and subtle addition to any body product.
This DIY Sweet & Subtle Body Butter combines a perfect blend of jasmine and vetiver, two complementary scents whose many benefits provide this body butter the antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antiseptic support it needs to melt into your skin and strengthen all of its layers.
Throw together the simple recipe below and apply regularly for beautiful and radiant skin that smells like heaven!
Sweet & Subtle Body Butter
1/4 cup Coconut Oil (solid)
1/2 cup Shea Butter
1/4 cup Almond Oil
8 drops Jasmine Essential Oil
8 drops Vetiver Essential Oil
Over low to medium heat, using a double boiler or a pyrex in a pan of boiling water, melt the shea butter and coconut oil together until the combination is smooth and without lumps. Remove the combination from heat and add in the rest of the ingredients, stirring until well blended.
Scoop the body butter into a glass jar and, to store, cover with a lid and put in a cool, dry place.
Use two fingers-full or so on dry skin, areas like your elbows, feet, and cuticles.
If you let sit, after 2-3 days, the body butter will firm. The product is good for a week, but you can extend its shelf-life by storing in the fridge and/or using an oil soluble preservative.
